Gymkhana

The Gymkhana will be a two day event, with 6 classes run each day. Riders may enter as many classes as they wish. Riders may enter more than one horse, but each horse will be considered a seperate entry. Placings will be awarded out to 5th place in each division. A Vaquero Days 2008 Silver buckle will be awarded to high point in each division. There will be 4 divisions (definition of devisions still to be determined. Helmets will be required for all riders.

Registration for gymkhana will be on site beginning at 8:30am Saturday. Classes will begin running at approximately 10:00am.

Vaquero Days is an event designed to raise money to support a variety of youth and charitable organizations. Everyone, including competitors, pays the $10 (ten dollar) entry fee at the gate. 100% of the gate income goes directly to supporting the youth programs (4h, FFA, college scholarships, and others) supported by Los Californios Heritage Association. Overhead and adminstrative costs needed to run the event come from other sources. Cometitors' registrations fund the costs of putting on the competitions.
